Kristina works with landowners, volunteers, and conservation partners to steward the Minnesota Land Trust’s conservation easements. To protect the conservation values of the land after the agreements are signed, she gathers and maintains information on each protected property. She ensures properties are monitored annually by managing the Land Trust’s Volunteer Monitor Program. And she assists landowners with land management and restoration projects.
Prior to working at the Land Trust, Kristina coordinated outreach projects for the Alliance for the Great Lakes, taught kids to fish for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and helped restore some of Florida’s most unique ecosystems for The Nature Conservancy.
Kristina has an MS in Environmental Planning, Communication, and Behavior from the University of Michigan and BAs in Conservation Biology and Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and in her spare time volunteers to help her neighbors install rain gardens, rides her bike around town, and enjoys all of Minnesota’s great outdoors!
