Ned Phillips joined the Minnesota Land Trust in June, 2016 as Conservation Associate. Ned assists with all aspects of information management and GIS mapping related to the Minnesota Land Trust’s land protection and stewardship programs.
Prior to joining the Land Trust, Ned worked for nine years at the Belwin Conservancy in Afton, Minnesota. There, he led the organization’s outreach and membership programs, worked extensively with GIS, and participated in land management tasks necessary to support the restoration of Belwin’s 1,400-acre nature preserve. Ned also worked at the Rice Creek Watershed District in Blaine, Minnesota where he oversaw its information systems and acted as a field technician for this local government agency.
Ned has a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Carleton College and lives in Minneapolis.
