A strong start to 2018

June 30th marked the end of our fiscal year and the halfway point of the calendar year, so we thought we'd share what has been accomplished in the first six months of 2018! Thanks to your support:

We've worked with landowners to complete 21 projects, protecting nearly 3,700 acres across the state!

We've also made great progress working with our partners, including protecting hundreds of acres in Important Bird Areas identified by Audubon Minnesota with our first easements ever in Kittson County in the Aspen Parklands Important Bird Area.

Finally, we successfully protected 87,000 feet of undeveloped shoreline; that's 16.5 miles which is the distance to walk the whole Chain of Lakes in Minneapolis (and an extra loop around Lake Harriet to boot!).

There are a number of great projects in the works for the rest of the year, so if you haven't signed up for our newsletter, sign up today to get monthly updates on the status of land protection in our state. And consider making a donation to support our work so we can keep going strong in 2018!
