Thank you volunteer monitors!

This winter has been a good reminder of how generous Minnesotans can be and how much we all do to support each other. In that spirit, we want to thank the over 100 volunteer monitors who helped monitor in 2017, including 16 newly certified monitors! Volunteers visited 350 properties last year - totaling over 1,400 hours generously donated to the stewardship program. That's in addition to the many miles you drive - thank you!

Spring is just around the corner, so we're gearing up for monitoring season again. We monitored over 550 properties in 2017 - and this year our task is to monitor 565.

We plan to keep the number of volunteer-visited sites significant while still, according to our policy, sending staff to address any issues, meet with new landowners, and visit each property every five years. We currently are fully staffed with volunteer monitors, so we won't be accepting any new applications for 2018 - but we'll let you know as other opportunities arise to volunteer with the Land Trust.

Thank you volunteer monitors for all that you do to support our work!
