Volunteers

Volunteers play a critical role in the helping the Minnesota Land Trust achieve its mission of protecting the lands and waters that define our communities and enrich our quality of life. Volunteers are able to extend the Minnesota Land Trust's presence into local communities throughout the state and personally work with landowners when staff might not otherwise be able to do so.
In 2009, our volunteers helped us achieve our stewardship mission of monitoring 100% of our protected properties. Over 90 certified, trained volunteers visited 275 properties. Our volunteers represent a diverse array of backgrounds, geographies, and ages.
