Walter Abramson

Director of Development and Communications

Walter Abramson joined the Minnesota Land Trust staff in April 2003. His responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure the resources needed to support the organization’s annual budget and long-term financial goals.  He also manages the communications and public relations efforts of the organization.  Wally has been involved in fundraising since 1990, beginning his career as the Assistant Area Development Director for the United Negro College Fund.  In 1996, Wally accepted the position of Director of Development at Hospitality House, an urban youth-serving agency in Minneapolis.  Wally has a B.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota’s School of Journalism.
